Blood and Soot
Cold stares from judging eyes,
Deaf ears to screaming cries.
They are blind to the truth,
The pain in my crushing youth.
The person I don't want to be,
But all they see to be me,
The cuts and burns on my arms,
The blood and soot on my palms.
"Cheer up" they chant as one,
All I want is to be gone.
Away from all the endless lies,
Rise up into the perfect skies.
They can't comprehend my torment,
The reasons for my infernal descent.
Why my head screams to itself,
Sat there on an icy shelf.
No love, no life - Do I dare?
No matter what, they don't care.
